What is the best approach for a computerized representation of various sources of the digital twin data? How can we preserve the inherent semantic relationships among the disparate sources of the built asset data? How can we improve the syntactic and semantic interoperability between BIM and IoT ecosystems? To answer these questions, we investigate the potential of ontologies, linked open data, and graph database technologies as a glue to bind the disparate sources of the built asset data together.
