This research focus sets out to answer the question of which adaptations are required for the concepts of OpenBIM and cloud BIM to be actualized using the standard web technologies and communication protocols. To this end, we investigate novel approaches for making the built asset data accessible within the cloud environments and to enable interactive 2D/3D rich visualizations of data: from raw streams of sensor data to rich spatial information contained in 3D digital models of the built asset, or the results of complex simulations.
